Pre-purchased English Language Tuition

As part of their residency requirements, some migrants are required to pay English language tuition fees to Immigration New Zealand before arriving in New Zealand, this is known as PELT – Pre-Purchased English Language Tuition.

To be eligible to enrol in PELT courses you must be a migrant who has paid money for English language tuition to Immigration New Zealand before you arrived in New Zealand.

From MCLaSS to KiwiClass In November 2019 we changed our name - a move that was decided by our students, and for our students. For nearly 25 years we have been known as MCLaSS, Multicultural Learning and Support Services. After extensive consultation with our students, we found that most didn't know what MCLaSS stood for, and that they had no personal connection to the name. After a lot of discussion and feedback, we asked our students and clients to vote on a new name and a new logo. The results were clear: our new name would be KiwiClass. Our students report that the new name makes them feel more welcome, and like a real member of their new home. We are excited to welcome you to KiwiClass!
